James Mitchell

Waynesville-James "Peanut" Mitchell, age 56, of Tuscola School Road, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Arrington and Lucille Mitchell. He was a truck driver and mechanic for Schulhofers. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and building model cars and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Ruff Mitchell; two daughters, Christy Shelton and Kimberly Mitchell, both of Waynesville; one son, Scotty Mitchell and his wife, Christy, of Canton; one sister, Betty Rich, of Waynesville; one brother, Robert Lee Mitchell, also of Waynesville; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times, at the residence.
