James Morgan

James W. Morgan, age 74, of Murray Road, died Monday, October 23, 2006, at the V.A. Medical Center. He was a native of Buncombe County and was the son of the late Harley and Bertha Morgan. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Frank Morgan; and a sister, Nancy Vaughn. He was a Navy veteran and in his spare time he loved to woodwork. He is survived by two daughters, Joyce McClellion and her husband, John, of Pelzer, SC, and Cindi Morgan of Calabash, NC; two sons, James P. Morgan of Canton and Frank E. Morgan of Calabash, NC; and two sisters, Billie Rickman of Canton, and Eula Hanes of Charlotte. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Morning Star Cemetery with the Reverend Rick Gosnell officiating. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Canton First Baptist Church Building Fund, 74 Academy Street, Canton, NC 28716.
