James Edwards Paul

James Edwards Paul, born on September 27, 1948, in Danville, Virginia, peacefully departed from this life on December 7, 2024, in Candler, North Carolina. He is remembered as a devoted father and a respected member of his community.

James enjoyed a distinguished career as a banker in Miami, Florida, where he made many lasting relationships and contributed positively to the financial well-being of countless clients. In 2010, he chose to embrace a new chapter in his life by relocating to the serene mountains of Western North Carolina, where he found peace and fulfillment.

James was a proud graduate, having earned his Master's degree that fortified his professional journey and cultivated his understanding of the world around him. His commitment to learning and personal growth remained a guiding principle throughout his life.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Constance Kretschmann (Karsten), who resides in Groß-Umstadt, Germany. James's legacy will live on through her and the memories they shared. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar Paul, Sr. and Falby Inez Edwards Paul, who provided him with a foundation of love and support.

A memorial service celebrating James's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, North Carolina. 

James Edwards Paul will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit and devotion to family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
