James Sheehan

Maggie Valley, James C. Sheehan, age 91, of Evans Cove, died on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Brian Center. James was born in Jackson County, and had resided in Haywood County all of his life and was the son of the late William and Francis Etta Clements Sheehan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gertude Setzer who died in 1990; a son, Doug Sheehan; two sisters and three brothers. James was employed by Troytino and Brown as a Truck Driver during the building of the Blue Ridge Parkway. He enjoyed his family, life and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by one son, John Sheehan, of Maggie Valley; two daughters, Shirley Moody, of Maggie Valley and De Brayda Sutton, and her husband, Ed, of Balsam, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Setzer Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend David Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
