James Taylor

Arden-James Lee Taylor-64, of Royal Pines Subdivision in Arden died Friday, March 7, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was a native of Buncombe County and had lived most of his life there. He was a son of Lucinda Mason Taylor of Candler and the late Lawrence P. Taylor. He was the husband of the late Lorna Norris Taylor who died in 1994. He retired from St. Joseph's Hospital.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter and her husband, Monica and Allen Crowe of Arden, one son, Daniel Taylor of Arden, two sisters, Laoda Davis of Candler and Sonja Rutherford of Spotsylvania, VA, one brother, John C. Taylor of Candler and one granddaughter, Jennifer Crowe.

A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Phillip Hurst and Mr. Tom Rutherford officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Elida Home for Children, P.O. Drawer 1708, Asheville, NC 28816.
