James Thomas

James Anthony "Tony" Thomas, age 36, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at MedWest Haywood. Tony was a native of Haywood County and loved the outdoors where he worked. Woodworking and gardening were special interests of his. In Tony's life, nothing was more important to him than his family and his faith. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Brook Langston Thomas; two sons, Elisjah Free Thomas and Zayne Thomas, both of Canton; father and step-mother, Rodney and Sandra Thomas of Canton; mother and step-father, Jessie Early Clark and Harry Clark, of Canton; one sister, Carmen "Sissy" Stiles and her husband, Kenneth, of Canton; brother, Dewayne Clark of Prosperity, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Donna Mull Langston and father-in-law, Steven Brooks, both of Greenville, South Carolina; other siblings; nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Carson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
