James West

James Finley West, Jr., 86, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2017. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Finley West, Jr. and Dora Mae Gragg West. Mr. West was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Tops and Discount Shoes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Mitchell West and Wendy Yarborough.
He is survived by his son David (Vicki) West; daughter, Rebecca (Eugene) Leicht; son-in-law, Hugh Yarborough; grandchildren, Tonya (Nathan) Horton; Drew and Ben West and Daniel Wells and great granddaughter, Ocie Horton.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, June 26 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CarePartners of Transylvania County.
