Jane Liner

Jane Liner, age 93, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Laurels of Greentree Ridge following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Brown and Nancy Jane Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Liner; a son, Bo Liner; a brother, Babe Walker; a granddaughter, Cindy Burnette; and a great-grandson, Tyler Surrett. She was compassionate, thoughtful, independent, hardworking, and never forgot a birthday of family or friends. Jane was a role model as the matriarch of the family. Jane loved flowers, plants, music, and she collected albums. She is survived by a son, Bruce Liner of Richmond, VA; a daughter, Carol Williams of Canton; seven grandchildren, Pam Schilling, Lucy Akers, Tracy Fornash, Nikki Jane Walker, Bobbie Stamper, Angie Thomas, and Shawn Surrett; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
