Waynesville, Jane Ebenbach Quigley, loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, passed onto our Lord Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Charles George V.A. Medical Center. A native of Philadelphia, PA, she was a former resident of Morehead City, and N. Wildwood, NJ and had resided in Haywood County for the past 15 years. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Rosabell Kepler Ebenbach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Quigley who died in 2007 and a sister, Susan Sayer. Jane was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII and was stationed at the Potomac River Naval Air Command in Washington D.C. She served as an activity director for the USO and was honored by Eleanor Roosevelt for her service to our country. Jane received the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. She earned her degree from Glassboro State Teachers College in Glassboro, NJ. Jane was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and shown the light of Christ and did everything to make people happy. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Rose Evans and her husband, Brian, of Winchester, Virginia and Susan Jane Beasley and her husband, Robert, of Waynesville; two granddaughters, Cara Careen Beasley and Dana Caryl Cotton; three grandsons, Elijah Patrick King, Karl James Hough and Blake Alexander Cotton and a great-granddaughter, Emily Jane Craig. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Canton with Reverend Timothy McRee officiating. Military graveside rites will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
