Janell Lee Killian Haney, age 86, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at El Reposo Nursing Facility in Killen, Alabama. She was born in Knox County, Tennessee and had resided most of her life in Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Charles Vinson and Julia Large Killian. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Haney who died on August 21, 2005; two sisters and four brothers. She was an active and devoted member of Clyde Wesleyan Church where she served as music director for many years. Nell and her husband, Ray, taught Sunday school at the former Britthaven Nursing Home for many years. Nell dearly loved all her family and will be deeply missed by each of them. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Haney Queen and her husband, Keith, of Clyde; a son, Jerry Ray Haney and his wife, Linda, of Killen, Alabama; a sister, Pauline Galloway of Clyde; four grandchildren, Renee and Paul Haney, Keitha Albright, and Joel Queen; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Henson and Reverend Eddie Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Fincher's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
