Janet Coggins

Waynesville, Janet Alice Coggins, age 59, of Lakeview Drive, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at her residence. A native of Laurinburg, North Carolina, she grew up in Fayetteville and had previously resided in Augusta, Georgia before moving to Haywood County in 1996. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Winona Dicks Henderson. Janet graduated from Wake Forest University and was employed at MedWest Haywood as a Lab Supervisor for the past 15 years. Janet was a member of the American Association of Blood Banks and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. She enjoyed the mountains, reading, and her cats. She is survived by one son, Michael Coggins, of Aurora, Colorado and one brother, Glenn Henderson, Jr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Memorials may be made to the Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
