Janice Lockman

"1948 - 2016" Canton - Janice Case Lockman, age 67, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ellen Holcombe Case. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odell Lockman, Jr. who died in 2006. Janice was employed as a Security Guard for BASF. She was a member of Peachtree United Methodist Church. Janice enjoyed watching NASCAR and working with her flowers. Her nieces and nephews were the love of her life. Janice is survived by a brother, David Jack Case, and his wife, Susan, of Canton; four nieces, Dawn Evans, and her husband, Shannon, of Waynesville, Kim Cutshaw and Jill McClure of Waynesville, and Dawn Whitaker, of Rocky Mount; two nephews, David Case, of Canton and Michael McEntire, of Marion; and multiple aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Woody Sanford and Dawn Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until service time. At other times, the family will be at 57 Lookout Lane, Waynesville.
