Canton-Janice Carver O'Neil Mooney-78, died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

She was a daughter of the late Otis and Neppie Vance Carver and the wife of James O'Neil who died in 1973. She was a member of North Canton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Gerald W. Mooney, one daughter, Pam Smathers and her husband Jimmy of Canton, one sister, Virgie Greene of Canton, one half-brother, Bruce Singleton of Candler and one grandson, Shawn Smathers.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Perry Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
