October 28, 1924 — July 22, 2006

JANIE M. BRADLEY Waynesville-Janie Sue Morrison Bradley, age 81, died July 21, 2006 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. She was a native of Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late William Penn and Myrtle Hedden Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alex Bradley; one brother, Glenn Morrison and one sister; Ruth Balcerek. She is survived by one daughter; Gail Kelley and her husband, Kevin of Richmond, VA; three stepdaughters, Tricia Bettini and her husband, Mark of Miramar, FL; Jane Metzger and Barbara Accamando both of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren, Jessie and Dylan Kelley; five step-grandchildren and a dedicated and loving friend, Bobbie Davis of Waynesville. Her passion was her garden and she also loved her romance and detective novels. In WWII, she and her sister, Ruth, moved from the mountains of Webster, NC to Washington, D.C. where she worked for the American government as a decoder. Janie had a keen sense of humor and a passion for all of life's beauties. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. At other times, family and friends are welcome at the home of Janie Bradley. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at PO Box 5216, Glenn Allen, VA 23058-5216.
