JANIE RHINEHART
Waynesville-Maggie Jane ''Janie'' Rhinehart, age 101, formerly of Georgia Avenue, Hazelwood, died Sunday, December 8, 2002 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.
She was a native of Cocke County, Tennessee and had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Susie France Hance. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Rhinehart; four brothers, Palmer, Johnny, Homer, and Hobert Hance; three sisters, Ula Woody, Lockey Arrington, and Harriett Conner.
She is survived by two daughter, Wilma Henry and Dixie Paige, both of Hazelwood; two sons, Clyde Rhinehart and his wife, Mary, of Waynesville, Wade Rhinehart and his wife, Gladys, of Sylva; a daughter-in-law, Frances Rhinehart, of Waynesville; one sister, Viola Blair, of Savannah, Georgia; 22 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; 60 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Her children arise up and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The Reverend Vaughn Burnette and Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at 223 Camelot Drive, Waynesville. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The Reverend George Plemmons will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
