Jared Bullock

Waynesville, Jared Keith Bullock, age 36, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Pitt County, North Carolina, he was the son of James Rodney and Rhonda Cox Bullock. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Buren and Louise Cox; paternal grandparents, Garland and Helen Bullock; and a long-time companion, his black lab, Callie. Jared was a 1997 graduate of Tuscola High School and attended UNC-Greensboro where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. He also earned a Teaching Certificate from Western Carolina University and was a former seventh grade history teacher at Waynesville Middle School. Jared was the Marketing and Sales Coordinator as well as the interim Box Office Manager at the U.S. Cellular Center. He was a member of Franklin New Life Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his fiancée, Rhonda Yvonne Haney, and his black labs, Sage and Willow. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Pullin officiating. Emtombment will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
