Jason Moore

August 27, 1965 — April 30, 2012

Waynesville, Jason Lewis Moore, age 46, of Eagles Nest Road, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Tarrant County, Texas, he had lived in Haywood County since 2003. He was the son of Mary Ann Tandy Moore and the late Bobby Gene Moore. Jason had a magnetic personality with a tremendous heart for the Lord. His favorite pastime was watching his boys play sports, going camping, and woodworking. Jason was a loving father and friend and was known for being meticulous and was scrupulously honest. Jason was a member of Long's Chapel United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jason Lewis Moore is survived by his two sons, Lucas Hayden Moore (10) and Logan Nathaniel Moore (8); his daughter by marriage, Lindsey Bodwell; the mother of the three children, Dr. Jessica McCabe; his mother, Mary Ann Moore; and his sister, Cynthia Ann Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Chuck Wilson, III officiating. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
