Jean Mills

Waynesville-Jean Mills, age 82, of Allens Creek Road, died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Graham County and had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Eva Campbell Burchfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Claude Mills, who died in 1996; a sister, Mary Wyatt; and a brother R. L. Burchfield. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean Mills, of Waynesville and a special guardian angel, Katrina Ingle; three great nieces, Diana Jones, Jennifer Caldwell, and Tresia Arrington; one great nephew, Scott Burchfield; special great-great nieces, LaCresta, Laura, and Brittany Jones and Ashley Arrington; a great-great nephew, Adam Caldwell; and an adopted daughter, Thresa Ledford. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the home.
