Jeanette Cogdill

August 9, 1962 — October 10, 2008

Jeanette Lynn Hall Cogdill, age 46, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Grady and Martha Scott Hall of Canton. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and was a former PTO President of Riverbend Elementary School for five years. Jeanette's grandchildren were the center and love of her life. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Kenneth Dale Cogdill; three sons, Chris Cogdill of Shelby, Jeremy Tankersley of Waynesville, and Joshua Tankersley of Canton; one daughter, Morgan Cogdill of Clyde; one sister, Lorna Hall of Ridgecrest, CA; and four grandchildren, Carrie Elizabeth Cogdill, Zachary Quenton Tankersley, Jordon Ozzie Tankersley, and Matthew Dean Tankersley. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at Beaverdam United Methodist Church with Reverend Tim Drum and Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
