Jeanette Moore

Arden – Jeanette Burnette Moore, 77, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Mission Hospitals – St. Joseph Campus. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Wayne C. and Grace Fowler Burnette. She was also preceded in death by an aunt, Nell Burnette and her grandparents, Tighe and Beulah Smathers. She was a member of Etowah Baptist Church. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Jeanette was a very accomplished musician having served her church as organist and choir director. She sang lead in the gospel group, The Hope Trio of Asheville. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Franklin Moore, Jr. of Arden; two daughters, Zondra Keeler and her husband, Joe, of Arden and Sherri Moore of Rosman; a son, Rodney Moore and his wife, Brandy, of Jacksonville, Florida; a former son-in-law, Dennis Tafoya of Wilmington; her faithful Chihuahua companion, "Tiny"; three grandchildren, Christian Williams, and Brianna and Addison Moore; as well as many Christian friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Brian Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
