Jeanine Beek

Waynesville, NC-Jeanine Jacoba Marguerite Van Beek, age 71, of 226 Powderhorn Drive, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at her residence.

A native of The Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Reneé Lucienne Paris Van Beek. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Claudette Cannemeyer and Jacqueline Van Beek. She was a member of the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene of Waynesville. She was an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and had traveled as a missionary to Haiti and Europe, serving as the Rector of the European Nazarene Bible College. She headed the Caribbean District of the Nazarene Church touching the lives of many people worldwide and loved by all. She retired in 2001 to Waynesville.

She was the beloved aunt of two nieces, Reneé Sloan of Toronto, Ontario Canada and Yvonne McMullen and her husband, Brian, of Woodstock Ontario Canada; and one nephew, Marc Cannemeyer, of Orangeville, Ontario Canada.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6 at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene in Waynesville with the Reverend Tim Pullin, Dr. John Smee, Dr. Nina Gunter, and many others will be participating from various parts of the world. Burial will follow at Ratcliff Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
