Jeanne Hipps

Jeanne Liner Hipps, age 50, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, at her residence. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of William Ray and Margaret Schimp Liner. She worked at Acton Chiropractic Clinic in Canton for six years and at Haywood Chiropractic Center in Waynesville for five years as an x-ray technician and at Whitman's Bakery for ten years decorating cakes. Jeanne was a die-hard Carolina basketball fan and she loved the ocean. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steven Kent Hipps; a son, Wesley Hipps and his wife, Andrea, of Columbia, SC; a brother, Timothy Ray Liner of Waynesville; and her mother-in-law, Nancy Hipps. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Jay Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
