Jeannine Brannen

Waynesville-Jeannine B. Brannen, age 68, died on Monday, June 12, 2006 in Deland, Florida. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mae Cook Brock. She left Hazelwood, NC (now known as Waynesville) in the late 50's and had resided in Durham , NC and Orange City, FL until moving to DeLeon Springs in 1975. She was employed by Sherwood Medical as an insurance administrator for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Stetson Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Winton Brannen; two daughters, Mary E. Gage of Minneola, FL and Teresa Girard of DeLeon Springs, FL; a son, Darryl Brannen; two sisters, Dorothy Garrett and Mildred Brock, both of Waynesville; one brother, Dennis Brock, of Graham, NC; five grandchildren, Natalie Cameron, Jessica Brannen, Rebecca Brannen, Katie Girard and Zac Girard; and three great-grandchildren, Okia Cameron, Chloe Cameron, and Lilly Brannen. Funeral services will be held at 10:a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Hazelwood Baptist Church with Reverend Don Letzring officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and also from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
