Jeffrey Brooks

Jeffrey Yates Brooks, age 36, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Memorial Mission Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of Ruby Yates Brooks of Canton and the late Weldon F. "Bud" Brooks. He was a 1989 graduate of Pisgah High School. Jeff was a very loving and caring father. Brittany was the love of his life. He was a very compassionate person who would go out of his way to help others at any time. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Brittany Michelle Brooks of Canton and three brothers, Mike Wood and his wife, Donna, Weldon Steven Brooks and his wife, Patricia, and Alan Brooks and his wife, Mary, all of Canton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Ed Lowder officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
