Jeffrey Winters

Waynesville, Jeffrey Mark Winters, 54, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Cook County, Illinois, Jeffrey was the son of the late Dr. John E. Winters and Peggy Winters. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church and attended Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. Jeffrey was a people person and enjoyed traveling, history and fishing. In addition to his mother, Peggy Winters, of Waynesville, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cindy Winters, daughter, Abigail Winters and son, John E. Winters, all of Thomasville, North Carolina and a sister Jennifer Richardson (Ian), of New Zealand and their children, Cameron and Krista Richardson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the church.
