Waynesville, NC-Jerry Morrow Allen, age 95, of Mull Street, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004. A native of Jackson County and lived in Morristown, Tennessee for 45 years prior to moving to Haywood County in 1975. He was the son of the late Robert and Emma Sparks Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nora Frazier Allen who died in 1994; a son, Frazier Anthoney Allen; two sisters, Bonnie Berry and Bessie Cogdill; four brothers, Don, Sam, Jim, and Bob Allen; two grandsons, Zackery Moore and Bradley Allen. He retired from Gluck Brothers Furniture of Morristown, Tennessee as a cabinet room foreman. He was of Baptist faith. He was a familiar face at Fugate's Flea Market in Maggie Valley and was well loved by all his friends and customers there. He is survived by three daughters, Joan Alexander, and her husband, Everett, and Johnnie Sue Moore, both of Morristown, Tennessee, and Jan Stanley of Waynesville, NC; 11 grandchildren, Travis, Chad, and Jeremy Hopson, Hillary Green, Heather Allison, Roger, Randy, and John Alexander, Patrick Moore, Jason and Casey Allen; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29 at the funeral home, and at other times, the family will be at the home of Jan Stanley, 114 Hamer Avenue, Waynesville.
