Jerry Boone

Jerry Daniel Boone, age 68, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William and Charlotte Clark Boone. He was also preceded in death by a sister. He was a United States Army veteran serving in Germany. Jerry was cared for by the loving staff at Autumn Care. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jeannene Ratliff Boone; a daughter, Karen Boone of Hillsborough; a sister, Linda B. Worley and her husband, Harvey, of Canton; a brother, David Boone and his wife, Catherine, of Canton; three step-children, Curtis, Sherri, and Patricia Smith; two grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Sanford; and 12 step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Beaverdam United Methodist Church with the Reverend Billie W. Cranfield officiating. A dinner will follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patient Care Fund of Autumn Care, P.O. Box 330, Waynesville, NC 28786.
