Jerry Jerome Gold, 56 of 22 Eagle Lane in Candler died Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Mt. Area Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Haywood County, he was son of the late Joseph and Betty Deweese Gold. He attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam. He was a prior resident of Buncombe County and Atlanta, GA.
Surviving are: two sisters and their husbands-Joann and Thomas Parker of Canton and Nancy and Bruce Ardolino of Cliffside Park, NJ. A brother and his wife, Johnny and Yvonne Gold of Waynesville, three nieces, Karen Hall of Canton, Mariann Groth of New Jersey and Tammi Saenz of Raleigh. Three nephews, Joey Parker of Canton and Chasen and Teague Gold of Waynesville.
Services will be held at 4:00 p. m. on Sunday, September 1st in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverends Jerry Young and Jim Brackett officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service and at other times will be at the home of JoAnn Parker-7 Beaverdam Heights Dr. Canton.. Burial will be in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Afraid?

Why should I be afraid? It is not death to die. Tis but a step to Glory and a mansion in the sky.
