Jessie Goodson

Candler-Jessie Mae Cabe Goodson-91, of Candler; died Thursday, October, 31, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Charles and Delphia Morgan Cabe. She was the wife of the late Glenn Goodson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Reverend Frank Goodson and Charles Goodson. Mrs. Goodson was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Wanda Liford Goodson of Canton, one sister, Frances Lipe of Asheville, 1 granddaughter, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2002 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Candler with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton. At other times, the family will be at the home of Ruth Liford, 131 Rice Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
