Jessie Thibodeaux

Waynesville, Jessie Lee Sutton Thibodeaux, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at The Homestead. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ruby Lee Sutton. She was an employee at Maggie Valley Country Club where she bartended and cashiered. Jessie enjoyed playing basketball in her early years but more than anything else in her life, she loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jessie is survived by a daughter, Gina Newton; two sons, Douglas Tracy Thibodeaux, Sr. and Jamie Thibodeaux; two sisters, Polly Jackson and Dorothy Volner; and four grandchildren, Sydney Newton and Jacob Newton, Douglas Tracy Thibodeaux, Jr. and Conner Sutton Thibodeaux. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
