JESSIE H. WHITE

Waynesville-Jessie Heatherly White, age 85, died Monday, November 4, 2002 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Merritt M. and Nellie Revis Heatherly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pless White, who died in 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Austin, and her husband, Charlie, of Waynesville; two sons, James Crawford, and his wife, Jerri, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Charles White of Waynesville; four sisters, Mary Henson and Susie Heatherly, both of Asheville, NC, Annie Nelms of Richmond, Virginia, and Pauline Wilson of Detroit, Michigan; 3 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2002 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Erma Bond officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Seay, Lee Brow, Willie Austin, David Watson, Charlie Austin, and Griffith Austin. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 6, 2002 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
