Jewel Dover

Jewel M. Foster Dover, 87, of Leicester, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl Gillispie Foster. Jewel was a member of Trinity Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Nebo. She loved her family and music, and taught herself to play anything with strings, except the fiddle.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Dover; daughter, Sharon Melton; sister, Lois McCoy and brothers, Charles, Dewey and Reeves Foster.
Jewel is survived by her children, Patricia (Norman) Calloway, Charles Franklin (Judy) Dover, Jr., Brenda (Noah) Parris, Deborah (Bob) Clark, David Michael (Debbie) Dover and Donna K. (James) Culbertson; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 8th in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn with the Revs. Michael Brown and Ricky McCarson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
