Jim Galloway, Jr.

Waynesville, James Dale "Jim" Galloway, Jr., age 55, of 1248 Ratcliffe Cove Road, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Memorial Mission. A native of Haywood County, he resided in Los Angeles for about 15 years. He was the son of Betty Windham Galloway of Waynesville and the late James Dale Galloway. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Ann Galloway. A 1975 graduate of Tuscola Senior High, he was a member of the concert, jazz, and marching bands. Jim worked in the electrical engineering field and enjoyed photography, computer games, animals, and camping. He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Catherine Galloway of Waynesville and Jaynie Johnston and her husband, Patrick, of Newport News, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. James Mackey officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:30 p.m. prior to services at the church.
