Jimmy Tucker

Waynesville-Jimmy Lee Tucker, age 55, of 50 J. F. Morris Drive, died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at his residence.

He was a native of High Point, NC and had lived most of his life in Haywood County. He was the son of Alice Hill Tucker, of Hendersonville and the late Lee Tucker.

He was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church and was a driver with H. T. Hackney.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia Burchfield Tucker; one daughter, Misty Leann Tucker, of the home; one sister, Irene Corns, of Hendersonville; three brothers, Lee Tucker, Jr. and Robert Tucker, both of Hendersonville, and Ray Tucker, of Flat Rock; one sister-in-law, Brenda Browning, of Nebo and one brother-in-law, Larry Burchfield, of Columbia, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Green Valley Baptist Church. The Reverend Ricky Wolfe and Reverend Johnny Swanger will officiate. Burial will be at Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Burchfield, 136 Lum Boone Circle, Waynesville.

The pallbearers will be Scott Burchfield, Jackie Laney, Clarence Bishop, Wayne Frady, Sammy Jones, Ronnie and Gary Downs and Steven Blanton.

The family would like to express their special thanks to Dr. Charles Thomas, Dr. Michael Heller and the Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice.
