Joan Kathleen Surber, 90, died on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was born in Queens, New York and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was also a former resident of Waynesville, North Carolina.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Surber, who died in 2015 and her sister, Ann Kennedy.
She is survived by her sons, John (Lisa) Surber and William Surber both of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and two granddaughters, Hannah and Hayley Smith.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesville, North Carolina.
The care of Mrs. Surber has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
