Jodey Mills

Clyde, Jodey Paul Mills, age 53, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Iredell County, he is the son of James Mills and the late Wanda Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancée, Ina Mae Smith and nephew, Gabriel Weaver Mills.  Jodey was a carpenter and long-haul trucker across country to see all the beauty this world has to offer.  His passions was being outdoors with friends, fishing, hunting, racing and watching auto racing and classic movies.

In addition to his father, James Mills; he is survived by his sister Emma "Tina" Christina Mills; nephew, Cody Dylan Jones; grandniece, Kylee Elayna Jones; and a grandnephew, Liam Avery Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

The care of Mr. Mills has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
