Joe Bob Davis

Joe Bob Davis passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on August 8, 1948, to the late Andrew Jackson and Johnnie Ruth Davis. He was also met in Heaven by his lifelong friend Stanley “Stosh” Hill. 

As the owner and operator of JB’s Fine Line Tattoo, Joe Bob established a reputation for his artistry that drew countless clients. His outstanding abilities as a tattoo artist were not just a job, they were a profound expression of his talent and passion for his craft. Joe Bob took immense pride in his work that allowed him to meet people from all walks of life. 

Beyond the tattoo studio, Joe Bob was known for his creative endeavors including drawing, painting, building motorcycles, and most recently, building guitars and fiddles. When he was not engaged in his artistic pursuits, Joe Bob found joy in the great outdoors. 

Joe Bob is survived by his daughter Keri Davis Frady (Sam); his sons, Benjamin Seth Davis (Amber) and Andrew Greene (Brandi); his brother, Jim Davis (Susan); his close nephew, A.J. Davis; his first cousin, Joey Davis; an “adoptive daughter” Melissa Taylor Roy; his grandchildren; and a special friend, Betsy McMahan. Joe Bob’s constant companion was his cattle dog, Shelby. 

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Joe Bob left his mark on the world not only with his remarkable skill, but also for being an incredibly loving and caring friend and father.
