Joe Thomason

Joe Bob Thomason, age 82, of Thompson Cove died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Troup County, GA and was the son of the late George Thomason and Vera Rogers Thomason Miller. He retired from Champion International with 37 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma Noles Thomason; two sons, B. J. Thomason of Waynesville and John Thomason of Clyde; two daughters, Sheila Wright of Canton and Susan Perdue of LaGrange, GA; a brother, Frank Thomason of Clyde; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend James Parham officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
