Joel Thomas Welch

Joel Thomas Welch passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at CarePartners Solace after a long battle with cancer. Joel brought lots of laughter to family and friends. He was the youngest child of the late, Ray and Shirley Welch. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; his son, Jeremy and daughter-in-law, Cortney; a sister, Brenda Welch Sproles, and her sons, Mike and Randy; as well as a brother, Gary Welch.

He was a graduate of Enka High School. He was a retired truck driver from Fredrickson Trucking and Old Dominion Freight. 

A private interment will be held at Ridgeway Baptist Church at a later date.
