Joey Mcclure

August 11, 1960 — December 29, 2017

Joey McClure, 57, of the Erwin Hills Community, passed away on Rice Pinnacle Wolf Branch Trail in Bent Creek while doing what he loved - mountain biking with his brother. He lived in the Erwin Hills community his entire life. He was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and AB Tech and was currently employed at Eaton Corporation. Joey found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and caring for his parents. He was an avid hunter, mountain biker and radio-control operator of planes, helicopters, and cars.
He was preceded in death by his dog, Pepper.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Charlotte McClure.; siblings, David (Denise) McClure, Debbie (Randy) Trantham, and Connie (Laurent Toscano) Roberts; nieces and nephews, Michael (Lauren), Jennifer (Cory), Savannah (Jo and Jake), Jeremy (Amber), Corey (Samantha), Lindsey (Ben) and Clint (Jasmine); great nephews, Blakely, Jackson, and Reagan and many friends.

Please join our family in honoring and celebrating the life of Joey on January 27th, 2018 from 2pm-4pm at the Erwin Hills Lions Club (188 Erwin Hills Rd. Asheville, North Carolina 28806).

We encourage you to bring any photos, memories, or stories that you would like to share. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joey's honor to Trips for Kids WNC or Pisgah Area SORBA to support Joey's love for mountain biking, the Bent Creek Trails, and all those around him.
