John Chesterman, Jr.

Candler, John Albert Chesterman, Jr., age 76, of Dolores Drive, died suddenly after a brief illness, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. He was the son of the late John Albert Chesterman, Sr., and Hazel Rowland Chesterman. He was also preceded in death by Dolores Reddy Chesterman who died in 2000. John loved gardening, old cars and reading. He is survived by one daughter, Sue Vick and her husband Ralph Gary of Candler; one step-son, Stephen A. Silvern and his wife Kathleen of Galloway, NJ; grandson, Brandon J. Vick and his daughter, Cadence and family, who loved him very much; step grandchildren, Christopher and Courtney Silvern, and three step great-grandchildren, who live in NJ. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Reverend Jeff Massie and Reverend Furman Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Honor Program, P.O.
