John Earley

July 19, 1948 — November 27, 2004

John Earley, age 56, of Viking Drive in Knoxville, TN died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Park West Hospital in Knoxville. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Jerome and Hazel Parker Earley. He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Sisk and a brother, Arthur Earley. He was a former member of the Canton Kiwanis Club. He was a former Elder in the Canton Presbyterian Church. He was formerly employed with TranSouth, Inc. serving in Canton as branch manager through 1984 then serving the communities of the Tampa, Fl. area as group manager through 1988. He then transferred to Asheville and then to Charlotte where he was vice-president of the TranSouth South Atlantic Division. He was currently associated with Sun Trust Bank in Knoxville, TN. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Curtis Earley of Knoxville, TN; a daughter, Tara Earley Harvey and her husband, Jeremy Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sons, Tuck Rogers and his wife, Sandy of Knoxville, TN and Dustin Wayne Rogers and his wife, Cynthia of Harriman, TN; a brother, Carl Earley of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Heather, Noah and Shelby Rogers and Issac John Harvey. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend John Wesley Rey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A private committal will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: National Call Center, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 or to Brooks-Howell Home, 266 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
