John Fitzgerald, Jr.

John Joseph Fitzgerald, Jr., age 58, of 105 Maple Leaf Lane, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, following a brief illness. He was a native of Walpole, MA and the son of the late John J. Fitzgerald, Sr. and Gertrude Frances O'Leary Fitzgerald. John grew up in Massachusetts and later moved to Florida and was employed by Florida Mortuary Service from 1975 to 2000. He then moved to North Carolina and was initially employed with Asheville Wilbert Vault Company. In 2001, he became employed with Wells Funeral Homes, Inc. & Cremation Services, where he worked until the time of his death. John loved ice skating, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and his pets. John was truly devoted to his profession as a funeral service licensee. He is survived by his wife, Linda Marney Fitzgerald; one brother, Thomas Fitzgerald and his wife, Mary, of Mansfield, MA; and one nephew, Tommy Fitzgerald of Norton, MA. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating.
