John Frady

January 12, 1943 — December 20, 2008

John Everett Frady, age 65, of Bunny Run Road died Saturday, December 20, 2008, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Logan and Bonnie Free Frady. He retired in 1997 from Dayco with 31 years of service and attended Dutch Cove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda Blankenship Frady; a son, John David Frady and his wife, Ann, of Waynesville; two stepsons, Jesse Lee Driver and his wife, Janice, of Boomer and Alex Smith and his wife, Robin, of Lexington; two step-daughters, Robin Smith Woods and her husband, Brandon, of Canton and Tammy Smith Gibson and her husband, Billy, of Clyde; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a special adopted grandson, Cody Parton; and a special "sis", Jean Hightower. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at Dutch Cove Baptist Church with the Reverend Ed Lowder officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America, 158 West 29th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001-5300.
