John Hannah

"1959 – 2015" Candler – Gary Joe "John" Hannah, age 56, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Joe and Ollivee Carver Hannah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Chuck Ebernickel. John enjoyed being outdoors, fishing on his pontoon boat, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Ebernickel Hannah; one daughter, April Schultheis (Aaron) of Asheville; one son, Chad Hannah and girlfriend, Paige Allen, of Candler; four sisters all of Candler, Kathy Howell, (Ron), Diane Stamey, (Pete), Nancy Stamey, (David), and Shelley Hannah; one brother, Shane Hannah (Sarah) of Candler; one grandchild, Kayla Walker; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Grindstaff officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Trevor Austin, Melissa Taylor, and Libby Trull.
