John Hastings, Jr.

Waynesville, John F. Hastings, Jr., age 50, of Adell Drive, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Baltimore, MD. and had resided in Haywood County for the past 12 years. He was the son of the late John Frederick Hastings, Sr. and Patricia Blunt Hastings. Mr. Hastings was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharon Curtis Hastings; one daughter, Shannon L. Hastings of Canton; one son, Kyle R. Hastings of Waynesville; one sister Rose Marie Anderson, and her husband, Jeff, of Sykesville, MD, two brothers, George Hastings and Robbie Hastings both of MD. and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kitty Crane officiating.
