John Heiler

John Charles Heiler, age 86, of Dix Creek Road, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. He was a native of Jackson, MI and former resident of Gaylord, MI and had resided in Haywood County for the past 23 years. He was the son of the late Vern and Rizpah Gary Heiler. He was preceded in death by a son Robert Eugene Heiler and one brother, Clair Heiler. Mr. Heiler was a self-employed owner of Heiler Garage and Body Shop in Gaylord, MI and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Canton. He was an accomplished handy-man that could fix anything. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita Charboneau Heiler; one daughter Nancy Lorraine Seevers and her husband, Bob of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two sons, Vern Arthur Heiler and his wife, Ann of Charlotte, NC and Mark Douglas Heiler and his wife, Pam of Canton; one sister, Mary Kinnard of Ann Arbor, MI; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Father Dennis McGowan officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.
