John Holmes

John Anderson Holmes, age 62, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at his residence. He was a native of Cumberland County, NC and the son of Ola Beatrice Hammonds of Fayetteville and the late Sanford Holmes. In addition to his wife of 13 years, Kathy Smith Holmes, he is survived by a daughter, Amy Holmes Adams of Stony Point, NC; three sons, Dale Holmes of Statesville, Shaun Holmes, and John Anderson Holmes, II both of Fayetteville; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Burnett Siding Baptist Church with the Reverend James Stinnett and Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Burnett Siding Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
