John Ingle

Canton - John Harrison Ingle, age 81, died Friday, December 31, 2004 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home in Candler. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Roy and Dollie Gillett Ingle, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Virginia Kuykendall Ingle who died in 1979; a son, Stanley Kuykendall and a brother, Billy Joe Ingle. He was a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran serving during World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Clark and her husband, Butch of Canton; a son, David Ingle of Canton; two sisters, Edna Matthews of Candler and Joanne Stamey of Canton; four brothers, Carroll and Roy Ingle, Jr., both of Canton, Bud Ingle of Asheville and Bernard Ingle of TX; six grandchildren, Pam Wucherer, David and Doug Kuykendall, Bryan Clark, Nathan Ingle and Angela Rico and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Lee Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Center Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
