John Laughridge

John Franklin Laughridge, Jr., 85, died at his Candler home on July 19, 2012 following an extended illness.
John was predeceased by his parents, John F. Laughridge, Sr. and Sallie Cowart Laughridge, and his sisters, Letty and Julia Laughridge and Frances Tucker.
John is survived by his wife, Jan, special friends Allene Burnette, Whitney, Matthew, and Laura Sprinkle, Sam Hyde, Van Williams, in-laws Beryl, Ruth, Ron, Margaret and Milton, Deane and Marilyn, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Our thanks go to the Biltmore Square Walkers who welcomed, supported, and entertained John even when he couldn't walk and his participation in the group was largely a wonderful smile, and to the Mall staff and Chick-Fil-A employees who also helped to make John's visits more comfortable.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 21,at Sardis United Methodist Church where John was a member. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will take place at a later date.
The service will be led by the Reverends Jay Bissett, Milton Young, and Margaret Zeller, John's niece.
